Meisner classes in Hollywood

You may choose to join the class that best serves your schedule. I cover all stages of the repetition exercises, the Independent Physical Activity, and emotional preparation. Sanford Meisner created these exercises to provide the actor with the means for developing and honing their instincts by removing the intellectual thought process. Students are encouraged to work outside of class to build upon the work we are doing in class.

The Scene Study class is rooted in the Meisner technique, and includes script analysis and interpretation, as well as cold reading and audition technique training. Meisner exercises will be used when needed. Improvisation is used to help actors get a better grasp of material and understanding of the emotional and physical elements that are necessary to bring themselves to life. Students begin with a table read and breakdown of the script. Rehearsals with scene partners will take place outside of class and finished scenes will be put up and I will provide further feedback and analysis. Students are assured of working every week.

An ongoing weekly workout for advanced actors looking for a strong, consistent, long-term artistic practice. Classes involve scene work of all kinds, Meisner work, improv, writing, directing, shooting, and creating original work. Off-camera, occasionally on-camera. Ideal for staying sharp between auditions and jobs and creating own work.

Core ongoing Meisner Technique class. Class is twice a week for 3 hours each. Two studios in LA with classes available throughout the day. You can start at any point of the month. Must be 18 years old.
