About Arlo

Editorial policy

Arlo organizes factual class information to help actors compare options. We aim to describe what a school publishes without turning promotional claims into independent endorsements.

Last updated July 24, 2026

Accuracy before volume

We would rather publish a smaller set of well-supported listings than fill the directory with generic or stale pages. Specific classes, current schedules, transparent access details, and attributable sources take priority over broad school marketing copy.

Neutral presentation

Class descriptions may be summarized for clarity, but factual details should stay faithful to the source. Labels such as beginner, drop-in, audit, online, and application required are shown only when the available evidence supports them. Arlo does not certify teaching quality or career outcomes.

Directory ordering

Search and browse views may consider schedule relevance, freshness, completeness, and user-selected filters. Paid placement is labeled “Featured” and does not bypass the rules that determine whether a listing is current, publishable, or eligible for indexing.

Updates and review

Automated checks can identify changed or missing source information. Ambiguous changes, user reports, and school corrections can be reviewed before publication. Material corrections should update both the listing and the evidence used to support it.
