The Second Year Meisner technique instructs actors in the art of Character interpretation and Script Analysis. Actors develop the skills necessary to plan a specific, truthful, performance honoring the writer’s intent, utilizing technical elements from the first year such as behavioral actions and emotional preparation. The second year culminates in work on a style scene and prepares actors for every aspect of professional employment in the industry.

Audition technique prepares actors to perform for casting, focusing on preparation, confident presentation, intelligent acting choices, character analysis, mastering sides or monologues, connecting with the reader, and handling redirection.

This class is for the beginning or experienced actor. The work explores improvisational exercises and scene work to improve concentration and responsiveness through listening, responding, and activity work, culminating in a scripted scene.
